- Take 5 tbsp kecap manis
- Prepare 150 ml water
- Prepare 1 lemon to squeeze
My six year old (Little Foodie) is quite fussy. It isn't that she doesn't love healthy foods, heck the bulk of her diet is raw fruits and veggies. Place chicken strips into a bowl. Combine soy sauce, tomato sauce, peanut oil, garlic, pepper, and cumin in a small bowl; mix to combine.

When the water reduce to half, dont close the wok. and let it simmer for another 20 minutes - or till no really thicken. sprinkle some lemon juice, and let it cool. do not throw the remaining sauce, keep this together with the chicken
- You can put this in fridge and it will last about 3-4 days. you can also freeze it.
- When you want to serve, take it out and grill (or fry) them for about 15-20 minutes. I like to smear the chicken with the left over sauce during the grill.
Place chicken strips into a bowl. Combine soy sauce, tomato sauce, peanut oil, garlic, pepper, and cumin in a small bowl; mix to combine. Pour over chicken strips and mix so chicken is well coated on all sides. Heat vegetable oil in a pot (large enough to arrange the chicken in one layer). Add lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves, water, kecap manis, tamarind puree, salt and sugar, and bring to a boil.
