Yakisoba is known as one of the popular street foods in Japan. You will always find Yakisoba stalls wherever festivals are held. I used traditional tonkatsu (yakisoba) sauce for this instead of making the sauce from scratch and it was awesome - made by Kikkoman and found at my regular. Yakisoba is the Japanese variety of fried noodles.

Steps to make Yakisoba:
  1. Prepare all vegetables and pork. Cut vegetables into strips and slice Pork thinly.
  2. Heat oil on a large hotplate or a large frypan. Stir fry the Pork and Vegetables and add Salt and Pepper to taste.
  3. Once the Pork is cooked. add the Noodles and toss everything on the hotplate to mix it well.
  4. Add the sauce, toss again and sprinkle some Aonori if you have. (I didn't have it when I took this photo.)

I used traditional tonkatsu (yakisoba) sauce for this instead of making the sauce from scratch and it was awesome - made by Kikkoman and found at my regular. Yakisoba is the Japanese variety of fried noodles. Although soba noodles did give the name to the dish, the ramen variety is still the most common type used in yakisoba. Yakisoba is a popular Japanese dish similar to Chinese chow mein. Bite-sized pieces of meat and vegetables are fried together with long, skinny noodles.
