Instructions to make Leftover rice Sambhar Vada:
- For Vada
- Grind leftover rice with little water.
- Wash the urad dal &grind it in the grinder with little water
- Transfer the batter in a bowl
- Now grind leftover rice & mix with the urad dal batter.
- Now add grated ginger, green chilli,salt &pinch of soda in it.
- Heat oil in pan
- Take small portion of the batter &make ball then make hole in the centre.
- Fry Vada till golden brown on medium flame.
- For Sambhar
- Clean &wash toovar dal. pressure cook the dal.
- Onion,brinjal,potato., drumsticks with 2cup water.
- Then add imli pulp,salt,turmeric powder &4 cups water and bring to boil.
- Prepare Tempering
- Heat oil in pan
- Put mustard seeds, curry leaves, dry red chilli,hing and sambhar masala.
- Finally add to the Sambhar & simmer for 10 mins.
- Now put Vada on plate & serve hot.
